Pirate Piška

Māgoa presents our new fashion editorial in collaboration with Pirate Piška, a young Slovenian brand of unique products, designed by Tjaša Križnar. “She makes screen printed t-shirts, sweaters and socks based on her illustrations. She also sews various backpacks and above all combines love for handmade and sustainable products. At the very creation it is very important for her to sew and print on her own, that materials are of local origin, t-shirts made from organic cotton and Fair Wear certified and that the finished product is accessible to everyone.”

BIO 26

The sad stats behind Ljubljana design biennial identity

Each cheerful design application is a representation of unsettling data

BIO 26, the Biennial of Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia, just launched an open call for participation in the 26th edition, titled Common Knowledge. The biennial will take on one of the greatest challenges of our time: information. Concerned with the widespread crisis in information, BIO 26 seeks to harvest the best ideas that explore ways to creatively take charge and react to it, as well as to propose experiments and present alternatives to the ways we currently deal with information and knowledge.
