KONNTRA

KONNTRA is a result of a friendship, creativity and belief that everything can be achieved. It is a mixture of the present and the future, something that is nowadays, in countries of former Yugoslavia, fairly rare, especially with such a result. Māgoa is proud to present 3 young architects, Mirjana Lozanovska and Silvija Shaleva from Macedonia and Erik Jurišević from Slovenia.

Giulia Hartz

“It is easy for young illustrators to get lost in the predominant trends of the moment as we all wish for people to like our work. Emulating these trends might seem like a shortcut, but it’s not. Focus on who you are and what you want to tell, then sketch it out.”

Martina Ambroz

“Perfection bores me. That is the reason I sometimes take the pen with my right hand. Mistakes are essential: I don’t erase anything, because even mistakes have an essence of their own. I like to maintain a different outlook on things.”

Ana Popescu

Ana Popescu’s recent art exhibition at the Ravnikar Gallery Space sparked this interview we are presenting today. Ana is a Romania-born artist and illustrator, whose drawings are results of her fascination with different visual impressions, such as light, shade scenes, space, etc. Today we have the pleasure to ask her a few questions about her work and creative process.
